United Methodist Women <--- (Click link for Meeting/Event times)
The United Methodist Women is an organization of lay women centered in relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is focused on ministries with women, children, and youth. Rooted in mission and involved in mission programs locally and globally, UMW pledges to provide support for mission through undesignated giving. UMW is a multiracial/multicultural organization committed to inclusiveness. It is a community of women who nurture and encourage one another in their spiritual growth and personal development.
Missions & Outreach Team
In the name of Jesus Christ, our team will be an agent through whom the Farmingdale United Methodist Church can stimulate and fund the growing participation of members in outreach and mission with in our national community and beyond our borders.
In our Mission work, we set up "Drums for Liberia" where needed supplies are placed in drums that are sent to Liberia to help the needy. The drums are also used to collect water. We have a Mission/Outreach dinner at St.
Peter's Episcopal Church in Freehold where we prepare and serve dinners to the needy. This year we are going to have many fund raisers, such as bake sales, roast beef dinners, Mother's Day breakfast (the day before Mother's Day), an attic sale, and other fund raisers. Please check the church calendar for these events.
We go to Geraldine Thompson, Applewood and other Nursing homes in our community. It’s been a warm and loving experience to visit with God’s people. They know they aren’t forgotten.
We want to expand our mission work or joy to bring more people to know the true meaning of God’s love.
Overall I feel our Mission Team has touched lives and with the help of the Lord through each of you we will have a successful and blessed year.
If your visions haven’t been met by Out Reach-Mission Team feel free to call any of us. Our Spirit in Christ is growing and moving to fulfill your visions.
Overwhelmed with joy

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”, Luke 11:9
“I have showed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive”. Acts 20:34
Prayer Line
The Prayer Line has 13 active and involved “prayer warriors”. We meet the first and third Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am year round.
The Prayer Line looks forward to continuing their prayers for the sick, bereaved, and troubled members of our congregation and others among our congregation’s families and friends.
Worship Team
The Worship Team meets quarterly to discuss how we can best assist the minister in the conducting of the worship services. We exchange ideas and suggestions, especially in the Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter seasons to clearly define the type of music, liturgy and readings we will utilize. We care for the altar and altar area; we change the candles and change the altar cloths to correspond with the liturgical season and place appropriate flowers on the altar table. We utilize congregants to read scripture, usher, greet, and assist the children who are serving as acolytes. It is truly a labor of love. We welcome newcomers to come to our sanctuary to worship God. The co-chairpersons are Mary Carole Brand and Barbara Hurley. We welcome any suggestions to make our worship service a truly meaningful experience.
